January Jones‘ red carpet style is the polar opposite of her Mad Men alter ego Betty Draper.

The actress rarely gets it wrong on the red carpet, opting for bold yet flattering dresses by designers like Versace, Elie Saab and Dolce & Gabbana. In honor of Jones’ 34th birthday, Us Weekly has compiled her 15 most memorable looks over the years.

Though she often wears fashion-forward, risque ensembles, Jones still appreciates her ’60s Mad Men wardrobe.

“The long-line bra with the pointy tips and the girdle and then the stocking on the garter belt, I really like the shape it gives me,” she told Allure in 2011. “It’s kind of sad when you take the girdle off at the end of the day.”

Red Carpet Copycats from the Golden Globes and SAGs

If imitation truly is the most sincere form of flattery, then Sofia Vergara, January Jones and Jennifer Love Hewitt should be feeling pretty good right about now. Their red carpet looks from the Golden Globes inspired similar styles for Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.

When it comes to color choice, Winter’s Bone Jennifer Lawrence took a cue from Sofia Vergara at the Golden Globes. Like the Modern Family star’s Vera Wang gown, Lawrence’s hot pink Oscar de la Renta dress also had a black belt accentuating her waist.

January Jones made waves with her retro ‘do and bright lips at the Golden Globes. Claire Danes opted for a similar style at Sunday’s SAGs. While her side-parted blonde locks had looser waves, the bright lip, like Jones’, stole the show.

Cut to Winona Ryder, who seemed to be channeling Jennifer Love Hewitt’s look from the Golden Globes. Both wore voluminous dresses in shades of white (Ryder’s was an Alberta Ferretti Bridal gown!) and high, loose updos.

Halle Berry: How I Get Ready for the Red Carpet

Halle Berry is a pro at working the red carpet. So when it comes to choosing her look for Sunday’s Golden Globes Awards on NBC, the Frankie and Alice nominated actress knows it’s a process.

“I look at everything someone wants me to wear,” the four-time Golden Globe nominee tells Hollywood Uncensored with Halle Berry on Reelz Channel. “I look at it all, and I decide by what it looks like on.”

And for Berry and her glam squad, that means spending time in each and every dress. “We test it, we get in different kinds of lights, we walk in it, we sit in it, we make sure that in every possible scenario, it looks good,” she says.

The 44-year-old actress, known for dramatic red carpet wear like low-necklines and sheer paneling, is clearly not afraid of taking risks. “Sometimes things are a little see-through. I think, God gave us legs so why not see them?” she explains. “It may look like a faux-pas, but it’s meant to be.”

As for jewels, Berry says that she’s so over having glamorous loaners from high-priced designers. “I’m getting to the point where I won’t wear Cinderella jewelry anymore because I don’t like that feeling of my chariot turning into a pumpkin,” she says. “I’m starting to wear my own jewelry so that I don’t need to be stripped at the end so I can leave with my dignity.”
